    I recently bought a ticket for December 31 and reserved a park pass for the day. How ever the calendar does not show any special event or after hours that I can add to my experience. The ticket only says valid from opening to closing. What does that mean?

    Hello Ileana! Welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you’re excited to ring in the new year at Magic Kingdom Park! My family visited the Walt Disney World Resort on New Year's Eve a few years ago! It was such a fun night for our family! We had dinner together at Grand Floridian Cafe and then rode the Monorail to Magic Kingdom Park! It was a perfect way to begin the new year together!

    At the present time, hours of operation for Magic Kingdom Park are only posted through November 16, 2021. We’re all going to have to wait a little longer for New Year’s Eve hours to be posted. It is great that you’ve already made your Disney Park Pass reservations for December 31, 2021! Hold onto that reservation! Your park pass reservation states that your ticket is valid for regular operating hours from park opening to park closing. Once the hours are posted, you are able to enter the park at opening and remain until the park closes! If regular operating hours are extended, due to the holiday, your ticket and park reservation will be valid for those hours too!

    Ileana, continue to check the operating hours calendar on the Walt Disney World Resort website! It is a great tool for vacation planning! And, continue to check the calendar once hours are posted. The Disney Parks frequently update their operating hours even after initial hours have been posted!
