I recently bought theme park-hopper passes for my upcoming trip on 6/1/21 and I am unable to make park reservations at Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. Based on this we probably will cancel our trip. How do I get a refund for the park-hopper passes? Tx

Hi there, Howard! Welcome to planDisney.

I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble making Disney Park Pass reservations for your June visit. Having had to cancel a couple of Walt Disney World Resort vacations last year, I know just how sad and not magical it is to have to cancel your vacation. I hope it doesn’t come to that! Let’s see if we can help you lock some plans into place so you can look forward to Florida sunshine, Mickey-shaped ice cream, and pixie dust this June.

I just looked at the Disney Park Pass reservation availability calendar, and I see availability at Magic Kingdom Park for most days the week of June 1, 2021. While I don’t see Disney’s Hollywood Studios availability, don’t give up! I have a friend who was able to get those coveted park passes after spending time checking and refreshing. While I can’t promise it can be done, it’s worth continuing to check availability.

Also, since you have the Park Hopper Option on your tickets, you should be able to park hop to Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You’ll need reservations for another park, and you’ll have to actually visit that park before “hopping.” At this time, Park Hopper Hours begin at 2:00 p.m. daily, but it’s best to check the Park Hours as that is subject to change. The only caveat is that you must have a Disney Park Pass reservation for Disney’s Hollywood Studios to secure a boarding pass for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. Park hopping is also subject to park capacity restrictions, so if one of those parks is at capacity on your visit date, you will not be permitted to park hop there.

If you do decide to cancel, you may be able to apply the price of wholly-unused theme park tickets to a future visit. Please see the Theme Parks Know Before You Go page for the most up-to-date operational guidance. You may call the Disney Reservations Center at (407) 939-1936 to inquire about your existing tickets.

Howard, a dream is a wish your heart makes and I am hoping pixie dust comes your way in the form of Disney Park Pass availability for this June! There is so much fun to be had all around the Walt Disney World Resort this spring, including my very favorite festival, the Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. Cheers to your vacation, and whether in June or sometime in the future, we will see you real soon!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
