I recently bought a Star Wars umbrella light saber but can’t figure out how to put the batteries in it.. help!

    Greetings, Brian!

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for bringing your question our way!

If you’re a native Southern Californian, like me, then you know that this year we have experienced more rainy days than we have in a very long time! I had to break out my rain boots and poncho as if I was visiting “The Most Magical Place on Earth!” in Florida. So, I’m sure finding the perfect umbrella was a game-changer for you. I had not seen this special Light Saber Umbrella until last December when my friend and fellow panelist, Michelle R, brought one on our trip to the Disneyland Resort. To answer your question, I called in a favor to her.

She has the older version of this umbrella, so she stopped by The Star Trader to check out the newer version that you likely have. For this umbrella, you simply untwist the very bottom of the base (like you would with a bottle cap) and replace the batteries that way. If you do in fact have the older version, you’ll need a screwdriver to access the batteries at the base.

Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your question!

May the Force be with you!
