Hello, I recently bought six, four day park hopper tickets for me and my family. Do I need to link all of them to my account and schedule our park visits through my account?

    Hi Jonathan,

Welcome to planDisney! Since you’re visiting next month, you will need to make a Theme Park Reservation to enter the theme parks. But there’s good news for your next visit if you plan on visiting on or after January 9, 2024, theme park reservations will no longer be required for select ticket types!

To make Theme Park Reservations, you will need to link your theme park tickets to your My Disney Experience account. To link the tickets through your My Disney Experience mobile app, click on the three horizontal lines in the bottom of the screen, and select the “Tickets and Passes” tile. Click on the + symbol in the upper right corner, and “Link Tickets & Passes.” You can then choose to link the tickets by scanning the associated barcode or QR code, tap your media to your phone, or typing in the ID number.

You can then assign the tickets to the members of your travel party on the Tickets and Passes page. If they have their own My Disney Experience account, you can click “Reassign Ticket” under each ticket and select from the members of your Family & Friends List. If they do not have their own account and you would like to manage their plans, you can click “Reassign Ticket,” scroll down to find “+ Add a Guest” and choose “I’ll enter their name and age, then select “I’ll manage all plans for this Guest.” This will create a profile for your family member that allows you to create plans for them, without your family member having to make their own My Disney Experience account.

When you're ready to make your Theme Park Reservation, click on the + symbol in the bottom center of your app and select “Make or Modify Park Reservation.” Since you have park hopper tickets, you need to make theme park reservations for the first theme park you plan on visiting each day, then you can park hop after 2:00 PM. You will need to visit the theme park where you hold your reservation prior to visiting another park. Check the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar to make sure reservations are open for the theme parks for each day you'd like to visit.

If you haven’t already, don’t forget to make your dining reservations for your upcoming visit, Jonathan! You can make these dining reservations for your entire travel party through the My Disney Experience mobile app. I prefer to make at least one table service restaurant reservation for each day of my Walt Disney World Resort visit. It’s a great opportunity to sit down and rest your feet in the air conditioning while you enjoy your meal. And there are so many options in the theme parks, Disney Resort hotels, and at Disney Springs, I’m sure you’ll find a restaurant your whole family can enjoy together.

If you have any more questions as you count down to your visit, come back and see me at planDisney!
