Welcome to planDisney so and so. Thanks for stopping by for some help regarding your equipment questions.
The
Walt Disney World Resort goes all out for the holiday season every year. The parks have tinsel trim and lights beaming from everywhere, it is a wonderful time for aesthetics and documenting it.
After checking the
Property Rules there are outlined guidelines for selfie sticks, handheld extensions for phones or cameras, as well as tripods and monopods. If your gimbal extends over 6’ or 182 cm they are prohibited. If it does not extend that large you should be able to bring it into the parks. It is however up to the discretion of the security Cast Member to make while entering the park and giving it a once over. You will want to make sure you are prepared for the Cast Member possibly turning your gimbal down. If for some reason you aren’t able to bring it in, each park has
lockers at the front of the park. I usually like renting these on park days to hold the heavier stuff from my park bag, and any big souvenir purchases. You can visit them all day an unlimited amount of times.
If you are allowed to bring the gimbal documenting your day is going to be an awesome way to remember your time at the parks. If you decide to use it on attractions you should ask the Cast Member if you are allowed to use the gimbal for each one. This is to ensure for safety of other guests. Usually for the fast-moving rides you will need to tuck it away.
