Hey there, hi there, ho there, Kevin! You’re as welcome as can be to planDisney. And, as a fellow Disneyland Resort Magic Key holder myself, I’m pleased to welcome you to the Passholder family!Kevin, you are correct. Your Disneyland Resort Magic Key will not expire until one year after it is first activated. Activation of a Magic Key occurs when one of the following happens:
If your new Magic Key pass was purchased without upgrading an existing Magic Key pass or theme park ticket, what you currently have is more like an electronic voucher for a Magic Key pass. You will have one year to activate your new Magic Key pass, as indicated by the expiration date you see on your profile. When you activate the voucher, the voucher will be replaced with a new pass linked to your Disneyland Resort account. At that time, the new, activated pass will be updated with an expiration date that is 12 months from the date of activation.Tony’s Tip: I bet you are excited to enjoy a year of magical benefits as a newly-minted Disneyland Resort Magic Key holder. I highly recommend following the official Disneyland Resort Magic Key accounts on your favorite social media platforms. There, you will find the latest news and information to help you get the most out of your new pass. I also bookmark the Magic Key discount page on my phone’s mobile browser so I always have a handy reference for the savings coming my way every time I visit The Happiest Place on Earth!Have a magical time, Kevin!~Tony
