Hi, i recently bought a 2 day pass for my family and i wanted to switch one day to the Disney Halloween event. Is that possible?

    Hi Andrea, welcome to planDisney!

The summer solstice has passed so we are now officially in the season of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I'm so excited for you! Texans are no strangers to heat, but cool off on hot summer park days with a ride on Splash Mountain at Magic Kingdom park or Kali River Rapids at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. My favorite places to enjoy air-conditioning and entertainment are The Great American Adventure in EPCOT and Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress at Magic Kingdom Park. Your great, big, beautiful tomorrow is just a few dreams away!

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party kicks off Walt Disney World Resort's Halloween season on August 12. This special event takes place in Magic Kingdom park from 7:00 p.m. to midnight on select nights through Halloween, though party guests can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4:00 p.m. Frightfully fun festivities include Mickey's Boo-To-You Halloween Parade and Disney's Not-So-Spooky (Nighttime) Spectacular. My family's settled on a Beauty and the Beast theme for our party costumes this year. I just hope the Beast doesn't eat all of the Snickers from our trick-or-treat bags!

I understand you've already purchased two-day theme park passes for your family's visit, Andrea. Unfortunately, it's not possible to modify theme park tickets to include Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tickets. Halloween party tickets fall into the category of special event tickets, which means they are only valid on the specified date and times and no additional theme park reservation is required. Changes that are allowed for wholly unused theme park tickets include modifications to a ticket's start date and the addition of the Park Hopper Option.

If you're still interested in attending a Halloween party, tickets can be purchased online and are linked to your My Disney Experience account just like your two-day tickets. Since your two-day tickets must be used within a four-day window, you could "double-dip" and enjoy a theme park during the day and Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at night, or you could spread things out and enjoy a total of three park days. This past Halloween, I took advantage of early theme park entry at Disney's Hollywood Studios and was back at my Disney Resorts Collection hotel room by 3:00 p.m. for a power nap before hopping over to Magic Kingdom for Disney After Hours Boo Bash. It was a long, magical day!

If you decide not to invest in the additional ticket, I'd consider making a theme park reservation for Magic Kingdom park on a non-party day since the park closes early on party days for non-party Guests. Whether or not you decide to add on this extra event, I know you and your family will have a fabulous time making memories together.

Please come back and see us at planDisney again soon. We're hEAR to help!

    Choose magic,
