We recently booked a vacation through a friend/agent for February. We had to pay a substantial deposit down that I put on a credit card. It's been 2 weeks and I haven't seen a charge on my card yet. How long does it take for your card to be charged?

    Hi, Danielle!

If you had booked directly through Walt Disney World travel, your charge would have shown up in just a few days, if not quicker.  However, since you booked through an agent, you will have to contact him/her to see how their system works.  I would tell your agent you want to see a travel confirmation number as well as a receipt of some type for your deposit.

Just an FYI:  When booking a vacation package (room/tickets/dining) directly through WDW, the deposit is $200 with the balance due 45 days prior to arrival.

Get in touch with your agent and let him/her know of your concerns.  Hopefully all will be resolved and you can concentrate on planning for your magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
