Hello there, Kerri!
From one Marylander to another, welcome back to planDisney. I get it; as soon as I leave my Walt Disney World Resort vacation, I’m already planning my next trip. There is something about staying in the
Disney Resort Collection hotel bubble and experiencing the magic in the theme parks that has my family coming back generation after generation.
Kerri, you brought up a great question. I can tell the force is strong with you. As long as you have a date-based ticket after January 9, 2024, you will no longer be required to make
theme park reservations. Please note that theme park reservations will still be required for student group tickets, sport and convention tickets, and Annual Passes.
Besides purchasing your ticket, you’ll want to make sure you have a mode of entry into the theme parks. My personal favorite is the
MagicBand+; otherwise, you can also take advantage of the
Disney MagicMobile Service on the
My Disney Experience mobile app or a physical ticket that you pick up from a ticket window at any of the theme park entrances. You will feel like Disney’s Cinderella when you figure out which one of these options fits you best.
I like that you can use the MagicBand+ to unlock your Disney Resort hotel room, check into Lightning Lane entrances, link Disney PhotoPass photos, and participate in Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters.
May the magic be with you!Melanie
