Hello I recently just booked a trip to go to Disney California Adventures for my birthday I was so excited to ride the Incredicoaster until I just found out it will be close due to refurbishment and was so bummed will it be back up by August 28/29

    Hi Friend!

Thanks so much for visiting planDisney! California Adventure is filled with thrills, and the Incredicoaster is chief among them.

To make the most of your adventure, I recommend checking the Disneyland hours & events calendar to see which rides may be closed for refurbishment during your visit. The calendar shows about 6 weeks out from the current date and can be accessed online or through the Disneyland app.

    When using the app:

    1) Tap the three bars on the bottom right,
    2) Scroll down to “Park Hours & Info,”
    3) Then scroll further to “Closed for Refurbishment” for the latest updates.

    When online:

    1) Switch to "Day View"
    2) Select your date of choice
    3) Find Disneyland California Adventure and scroll further to “Closed for Refurbishment”

With a little faith, trust, and pixie dust, the Incredicoaster will be soaring once again by the time you arrive!

Speaking of magical timing, did you know that Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort begins August 22 and runs through October 31? It's a spook-tacular season filled with festive decor, seasonal treats, and haunting entertainment.

Over at California Adventure, Plaza de la Familia will also be in full swing from August 22 through November 2, celebrating the rich traditions of Día de los Muertos with vibrant music, storytelling, and colorful displays inspired by Coco. It’s a heartwarming experience you won’t want to miss!

Even more exciting news: some entertainment and decorations from the Disneyland 70th Anniversary celebration will continue during Halloween Time! That means you’ll enjoy a perfect mix of spooky magic and anniversary wonder during your visit. Truly the best of both worlds!

I hope this info helps you feel extra prepared and excited, friend! If you have any more questions or want more tips for your visit, don’t hesitate to reach out to me or one of my fellow planDisney panelists. We're always here to help add a little more magic to your Disney day.

    Catch you in the parks!
