    I recently booked a room only so I can make dining reservations. I will most likely be adding pkg, but waiting to see if free dining is offered. When I make a reservation it is asking for credit card guarantee. Is this because I don't have dining plan yet

    Hi Kim!

    You do not need to have a resort reservation to make dining reservations.  I am driving distance from Walt Disney World and often head up for day trips or even just for a nice dinner at one of our favorite restaurants.  You can make dining reservations through the Walt Disney World website or on the My Disney Experience smartphone app.

    All of the table service restaurants require a credit card guarantee.  Nothing is charged to your card.  It's basically just to hold the reservation.  Table service restaurants do require a one day cancellation, so if you need to cancel for any reason and do not cancel your reservation the day before, your credit card will be charged $10 per person.
