Hey, Edward! Welcome to planDisney.
Disneyland Resort uses a tier system for
standard theme park tickets. Basically, this means that the price of a ticket varies depending on the park reservation date. currently, tickets range from Tier 1 (which has the most restrictions in terms of eligible reservation dates) to Tier 6 (which has the least amount of restrictions). The ticket that you've purchased will be valid for admission on the date you select and on dates in the same or lower tier.
That means, Edward, you're welcome to change the date on your ticket to a lower tier. However, unfortunately, when Guests downgrade their ticket to a lower tier, they are not able to receive a refund of the cost difference. I know that's not the answer you wanted to hear. I wish I had more magical news for you. However, I trust you'll still have a wonderful time at the Happiest Place on Earth.
Are you excited to visit the newly reimagined
San Fransokyo Square at
Disney California Adventure Park? You'll get to wait to meet Baymax from Big Hero 6 and sample the food and drink at iconic places like Aunt Cass Café, Port of San Fransokyo Cervecería, and Rita’s Turbine Blenders. Make sure you stop by San Fransokyo Maker’s Market and pick up a memorable souvenir too!
Have a great trip, Edward.
Mike
