Ahoy, Helene!
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great question. October is an awesome time to sail with the celebrations kicking off for the holidays. The
Halloween on the High Seas voyage will offer your family so many special touches on your Disney Cruise -- it will be a magical vacation. You'll likely want to do it again!
My family and I always enjoy dinner during the second seating too.
Pirate Night festivities all start at the main dining restaurants, so don't miss it - the menu will be special that night and you'll even see your dining team in their special pirate garb. You'll want to come dressed in your best pirate gear for dinner, and be there right at 8pm. Your dining team will know that everyone will want to head over to the upper decks for the Pirate Party - so don't worry... they'll be serving your scrumptious dinner in good time. The main Pirate party is designed to start once the 2nd seating diners finish. At our last Pirate night, there was an after-Pirate Party buffet offered at Cabanas. It had the whole section decorated for Pirate night and the food spread was amazing. They even had made-to-order crepes that my kids loved. So, check with your dining team if there is an after-party party :-)... if there is one, try not to fill up too much at dinner. There must be something about watching Fireworks that gets everybody hungry again.
You will have so much fun - make sure you've got your camera handy. Lots of photo opportunities on this voyage - lots! So don't forget your Pirate gear and your Halloween costumes. Please do let us know if you have any additional questions as you prepare for your cruise. We're always happy to help.
