Hi there, Laura! Welcome back to planDisney!
Thanks for sharing your question, and a very happy birthday to your daughter! The big 1-0! Double digits! I can’t think of a better place to celebrate a birthday than Walt Disney World. Make sure you stop by the front desk of your resort or guest services location at any of the theme parks to get a complimentary birthday button for your kiddo’s special day.
Now on to the celebrating! You are more than welcome to have guests during your stay at Fort Wilderness, but some amenities, such as pools, are only available to those staying at the resort. Your guests can enjoy resort dining, shopping, the
Tri-Circle-D Ranch, and the
Fort Wilderness Archery Experience. There are also
bike rentals, canoe rentals, and kayak rentals. Be sure to give your guests your campsite and reservation information ahead of time so they can share that info if asked by security at the front gate.
You’ve picked a great time to visit Walt Disney World, Laura. Cool Kid Summer is in full swing and there is so much to see and do all across Walt Disney World. You’ll be arriving just in time for the debut of
Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away, the new nighttime parade at Magic Kingdom. The parade is expected to run from Frontierland to Main Street U.S.A, and feature characters from Coco, Frozen, and other Disney classics. I'm so excited for this addition to the Magic Kingdom and can’t wait to see the stunning floats!
I hope this information is helpful and that both your vacation and your daughter’s birthday celebration are as magical as can be. Pop right back to planDisney if you have any other questions. Your planDisney pals are happy to help!
Magical travels!
Matt
