Hey Beth,
Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you're here for help with your Walt Disney World planning question. Congratulations on recently becoming an
Annual Passholder! How exciting! I have entertained the thought of becoming a passholder myself recently. With my number of visits increasing in recent years, the math just makes sense.
You'll be happy to know that you don't need to activate your Annual Pass to enjoy passholder benefits when booking a Disney World resort room. While some perks do require activation, this isn't one of them. You can apply your passholder discount to your room booking as soon as you purchase it. I know that's great news because what better way to celebrate your shiny new Annual Pass than by booking a trip? Be sure to use the current
passholder room offers when you book to save some cash, and don't forget to activate your pass at Guest Relations at the parks or Disney Springs before you enter the theme parks.
Beth, there are so many great
passholder perks that make having an Annual Pass worthwhile. You'll get discounts on select merchandise, dining and experiences. Be sure to always use them during your visits and don't forget to pick up your
passholder magnet! Also, you will need to
link your Annual Pass to your My Disney Experience account. This step makes it easy for you to access your passholder benefits. Remember, now that you're part of this elite club you will want to make
park pass reservations for your visits if you plan to enter the parks before 2:00 p.m. with the exception of
Good-to-Go Days.
I hope this information is helpful, Beth. If you need any additional help with planning don't hesitate to stop by and see us again. See ya real soon!
