Hi! I recently had back surgery and the Dr. said I would be fine for my trip, but, when standing still my legs go numb. Could the person coming with me make part of the line so that I could sit for a bit and then join them? Would it be considered cutting?

    Hey Patricia!

I hope your healing is going well and so glad to hear you can still go on your *MAGICAL* trip to Walt Disney World.

Here are a couple of ways Walt Disney World can make your vacation the best ever, even with your recent surgery:

    • I suggest looking into the Disability Access Service (DAS). This service is offered to guests, like yourself, who are unable to tolerate long lines. Guests using DAS can schedule a return time comparable to the current posted wait time. This will allow you to enjoy the park or relax while you wait for your return time.
    • Walt Disney World offers wheelchairs for rent which you can use to make the standby wait a little easier to handle. You can rent wheelchairs by the day or for the length of your stay.
    • Lastly, make sure to take advantage of Disney's FastPass+ service which allows you to pre-plan bypassing the standby queue on three attractions each day. After you have used your initial three FastPass+ selections you can make more selections one at a time at the FastPass+ kiosks in each theme park.

I hope these suggestions help with your planning. If you have any more questions about navigating the theme parks or any other aspect of your Walt Disney World vacation please come back and see me.

Wishing you a *MAGICAL* vacation and a pixie-dusted day!
