Hi Ney,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. I hope you enjoyed your time at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. I just can’t get enough of the larger-than-life theming all around that resort, and I could spend all day in the lobby (especially if I kept replenishing delicious treats from
Landscape of Flavors food court) looking at the amazing sketches and concept art for some of my favorite characters.
Ney, I spoke with a Cast Member who actually walked over to the Business Center area in the resort’s lobby to check on your question for you. SIM cards can indeed be found in the business center, and they are sold in the vending machine that also sells pre-paid phone cards. Currently, there is one SIM card type available, and it costs $20 U.S. dollars. Unfortunately, the Cast Member could not see or find additional information about the card or plan. If you’d like to contact Guest Services with more questions, you may reach them at (407) 938-7000.
Most of my family is from Canada, and when they visit Walt Disney World, they put their phones in airplane mode and use
wireless internet access (WiFi), which is available in the parks and resorts. If you do require a SIM card, I’ve also heard that it’s possible to order them in advance and have them shipped to your resort (you may find more options and pricing that way), or pick one up at Orlando International Airport upon arrival.
I hope that helps, Ney! Should you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to come back and see us here on the Panel. It’s always a pleasure to help a fellow Guest with their Disney dreaming.
Have a zip-a-dee-doo-dah day,
Robyn
