You recently answered a question about dress code at Signature Restaurants. I was wondering, if tank tops are not allowed, are dresses that are sleeveless, have spaghetti straps or tank-top like shoulders allowed? Or must dresses have cap sleeves minimum

    Hi Stacey,

I believe the question you are following up on is HERE.

The official rule does state no tank tops, however, I have never seen this enforced. I myself have worn a sleeveless sundress into a signature restaurant and had no problems at all. I think that Disney is more concerned here with the spirit, rather than the letter, of the law. My understanding is that they're trying to make sure everyone is presentable. If a woman is wearing a clean, not-too-revealing, tank top or sleeveless top that is coordinated with a nice outfit, there won't be any issue. The rule is there to discourage truly revealing outfits for women and perhaps muscle shirts for men.

If you're concerned about your outfit, my suggestion would be to wear what you want, but bring a light cardigan with you. I usually do this no matter what I'm wearing because I sometimes find the air-conditioning uncomfortably chilly, but you can also use the sweater as some additional covering.
