Hi. You recently answered my question about dining reservations. (Thank you!) I have a follow up question. You said that I should go to the "dining reservations page" -- but how do I get there? How do I navigate there on the Disneyland app?

Hi Wynne, welcome back to planDisney!  I'm more than happy to help you with your follow-up question!

To navigate dining reservations on the Disneyland app, you can follow the below steps:

    1.  Open up the Disneyland app

    2.  Click on the + icon in the center of the bottom navigation bar, and then click on "Check Dining Availability", it is the top option

    3.  Update the Party Size for the size of your group attending your dining reservation

    4.  Once you have your party size set, a calendar will appear, and you can scroll to select your desired date and click on that date

    5.  Underneath the calendar, "Search by Time" will appear, and you can scroll to select your desired time.  My tip here Wynne is to not use the Breakfast/Brunch/Lunch/Dinner buttons, but rather scroll to your ideal reservation time.

    6.  Available Disneyland Resort table-service restaurants with open reservation times will appear, and then you can click on your desired restaurant/time.  It will then prompt you to enter your contact information, as well as a credit card to guarantee the reservation.  Your credit card will only be charged in the event that the reservation is not cancelled within the location's allotted cancellation period.

You also will be able to enter any special dietary or accessibility requests for your group, and you will need to agree to the guest policies which includes the reservation cancellation policy.

If for some reason you do not see your desired restaurant available or an ideal reservation time, I've had luck in the past with selecting a different time slot close to our desired time, and sometimes you'll get lucky with an available time that could work for you!  I'd also keep checking closer to your trip, as guest plans do change frequently.

There are also certain table-service restaurants that offer a mobile walk-up list, which you can join if there is availability on the day of your visit!  You can join the walk-up list for participating restaurants via the Disneyland app, or by scanning a QR code located near the restaurant entrance.

I hope these options and tips helped answer your question Wynne!  If it did not, feel free to come back with another question, I'm more than happy to help you!

    Have a magical day!
