    You recently answered for me about our Alaska cruise. I downloaded the sleep machine app you suggested. If we use it onboard at night will that use data? I don't want to incur cellular charges so I needed to know if I needed to buy a wifi package? Thanks!

    I'm happy to hear you found the sleep app I suggested! I can't sleep without some kind of fan or white noise, and it has been a lifesaver on vacations. I hope it will be helpful for you on your cruise.

    Using the app won't use cellular data - if it did, I'm sure my husband would have confiscated my cellphone years ago! I use the app all night, every night, on vacation and at home.

    If you do decide to purchase a wifi package to use during your cruise, make sure to stop by and visit the Connect@Sea Expert before you connect. I took a cruise with some friends in February, and for some reason our data package was disappearing super fast as we used it. As it turns out, we had the settings all wrong on our phones and iPads and we were draining the data at lightning speed. I plan to stop by the Connect@Sea desk first thing next time I cruise and let them correct the settings on my electronics from the start!
