Debbie from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

We have recently adopted to young boys into our family. I was wondering (and hoping) if Disney offered discounted ticket prices to adoptive and foster families.

Hi Debbie! Thanks for dropping by planDisney.

I'm sure the adoption of these children has been a gift to your growing family. A vacation to Disneyland Resort is my family's favorite way to celebrate a special occasion whether it is an anniversary, birthday, or graduation. The kids laugh more and we treasure those times together. And you certainly have a lot to celebrate!

Unfortunately, Disneyland Resort does not currently offer a discounted admission ticket for adoptive families. I know you were hoping for that discount in particular, but there are other discounts that might work for your family. Let's see if we can't find the perfect fit for your family, so you can enjoy all the magic of a Disneyland Resort family vacation.

First, update your Disneyland profile and check the Offers and Discounts page to see if there's a vacation discount that applies to your family. That's always a good place to start. Second, I suggest you check out the current admission ticket promotion Disneyland Resort is running: the Kids' Special Ticket Offer. With this offer, for a limited time, kids ages 3 to 9 can visit for as low as $50 per child. That's a really good deal! I just convinced my extended family to join us on an upcoming trip, taking advantage of this offer. It's hard to pass up.

With this Kids' Offer, you can visit between January 8 and March 10 of 2024, but you'll also need a theme park reservation for entry to the parks, so booking early is important. Parks and dates can fill up, during busy times! I have a feeling this will be a popular offer for families. Just remember to check out the terms of this offer before purchasing.

If this is the boys' first visit, be sure to stop by Guest Services in Disney California Adventure Park or City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park and pick up a complimentary button to let everyone know they're celebrating a special occasion. You never know what magic might happen! And since you're going to want to remember this trip forever, make sure to use the Disney PhotoPass Service to capture your magic moments. If the boys are Star Wars fans like mine, there's a fantastic PhotoPass spot in front of the Millennium Falcon in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in Disneyland Park, which is out of this world. We used it as our holiday card it turned out so great!

    Have a magical day!
