Hi Lara,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thanks for bringing your question to us. I think you are going to love the Disney Dining Plan. My family added the Disney Dining Plan on our recent Walt Disney World vacation, and we loved that we had pre-paid and didn’t need to think about prices – it felt all-inclusive, which made our vacation that much more relaxing.
Lara, the Resort Refillable Mug that comes with the
Disney Dining Plan can be refilled at any resort; just find the Quick-Service location or beverage station. At this time, the Refillable Mugs may not be refilled in the theme parks. I did not find this to be a problem at all, because your Quick-Service and Table-Service meals come with a beverage, so we had soda or specialty beverages when eating in the theme parks. You can also get free iced water at most Quick-Service locations. Certain drinks, like Dole Whip Floats, count as Snack entitlements on the Disney Dining Plan as well. (Side note: there is a new Peter Pan float, featuring key lime ice cream, Sprite, and a chocolate feather, at Storybook Treats in Magic Kingdom Park. I can't wait to try it!) With all those options, I promise you won’t be thirsty!
Definitely check with a Cast Member at your resort as to the best ways to use your Disney Dining Plan. A great “hack” is that when Quick-Service dining at a resort, you can grab a bottle of soda (it can be the beverage in your Quick-Service entitlement) to take into the theme parks later, and then fill your mug with soda or coffee to enjoy with your meal. Our resort’s Quick-Service location offered fantastic smoothies and coffee beverages too, which were included as the beverage with our meal entitlement. We had the best time trying tons of different beverages all around the World!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
