Greetings, Melva!
Welcome to planDisney! I hope you are having a wonderful time planning your
spring visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth! There are so many special experiences going on that time of year and typically the weather is beautiful.
I had the pleasure of staying at
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside this past October, for a quick trip, and it was lovely. The updated rooms are so nice! They seem so much more spacious and the bathrooms are wonderful. They have indeed been updated to the new beverage coolers. Reportedly, the beverage coolers have the ability to keep items around 41 degrees Fahrenheit, so close to a standard refrigerator or mini-fridge. When I was nursing or pumping, I would also bring large zip-top bags to fill with ice to store the milk containers in and then put them in the in-room mini-fridge as an added precaution. This way, I could just refill the ice as needed both in the parks and in the room. You can also speak to the Cast Members at your resort, as in the past I was also able to give Bell Services a zip-top bag with a few smaller bags of breastmilk inside to freeze for me.
As an extra tip, in the parks, you can bring in a soft-sided cooler to keep items cool. Please be aware though that loose ice is not allowed, so you'll need to make sure to store it in a zip-top bag. If you need to replenish the ice throughout the day, you can visit any Quick-Service restaurant and ask for a cup of ice. Also, the
Baby Care Centers in each park offer an amazing location to quietly nurse, feed, prepare a bottle, rest or anything else you may need. Sometimes I would just sit with my feet up for a few in the air-conditioning and let the baby rest for a while before heading back out for more fun!
Have a wonderful vacation, Melva! If there is anything else we can assist you with, please let us know.
Magical Wishes,
Lauren
