Hi Stephanie and welcome to planDisney!
In just 2 days you'll be answering the call of
The Most Magical Place on Earth. This is usually the time when I am no earthly good in any other part of my life because I'm already mentally on vacation. Throughout this pandemic, we've all had to adjust as things changed regarding mask-wearing and social distancing. I was at the Walt Disney World Resort when the policy was wearing face coverings at all times both indoors and outdoors unless eating or drinking. Currently, the
official policy is that face coverings are to be worn indoors and on all Disney transportation for every Guest age 2 and up. While that is subject to change as it did just a few days before my trip last May, I would still prepare according to the policy currently in place.
A few tips from someone who's been a guest 5 times since the reopening. If you're packing disposable masks, make sure to pack enough to change them throughout the day. I've been planning for at least 2 per day just in case an ear loop snaps or I accidentally drop it. My friend and fellow panelist Amy also introduced me to the most magical invention ever in these strange times we're in. Mask lanyards! Those things were absolute lifesavers during my December trip. I won't be losing my mask anywhere for the rest of the time we need them!
And one more tip for your very close arrival date. Black History is world history so
Celebrate Soulfully around the Walt Disney World Resort. There are lots of great performances, delicious cuisines, and stunning artwork to celebrate Black History Month. My mom and I particularly enjoyed Motown Mondays at Disney Springs so be sure to check it out!
Stephanie, masking up will help us all protect the magic we love so much. Thanks for doing your part!
Happy planning!
Taylor
