Hello, Shan! Welcome to planDisney. My pals and I are happy to see you cruise our way with your question.
I'd be happy to help as you decide what to pack for your upcoming Disney Cruise! A Nintendo Switch is an acceptable item to bring aboard with you. Portable, hand-held gaming devices are allowed. However, you will not be able to hook up your gaming device to the stateroom televisions.
For a full-screen gaming experience for the tweens and tweens in your sailing party, guests are encouraged to visit Edge (ages 11-14) and Vibe (ages 14-17). Guests of any age are welcome in these spaces during
Open House times. Once onboard, you can view the listings for Open House times in the daily activity schedule via the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. There are also gaming units in Disney's Oceaneer Club and Lab for guests ages 3-12. The Club and Lab also host Open Houses for the whole family.
There will be lots of activities all throughout the ship that appeal to guests of all ages. I recommend that you look through the daily activity schedule and click the heart icon next to any activity that calls your name! By favoriting an activity, the app will send a reminder notification when it is time for the fun to begin. If something seems interesting, it's a great idea to check it out early in the cruise. You never know what you might enjoy and will want to attend again. Sometimes, activities happen more than once throughout your voyage.
Shan, I hope you'll cruise our way again if you have further questions. It's a pleasure to help!
Happy Sailing,
Adrianna
