Had a recent Disney vacation in January 2026. I’ve just now downloaded the My Disney Experience app. How do I go about adding my prior completed trip to the app? Thank you!

Hi Linda! My name is Scott, and I like warm hugs. It's my pleasure to welcome you to planDisney and answer your question about viewing your past, present, and future plans in the My Disney Experience app.

If you've ever taken a spin on the Carousel of Progress, you are familiar with the lyric, "there's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow," and the same is true in the My Disney Experience app. Unfortunately the app will only show you what you have coming up, and not what you have completed in the past. It's why I always try and fill it up with some magical plans so I have something new and exciting to look forward to! Even though past plans disappear from the app in a poof of pixie dust, there are some ways to hang on to past bookings and experiences.

I have a folder in my email where I send all my Walt Disney World Resort confirmation messages. This acts like a kind of digital scrapbook, so I can see what Disney Resort hotels I have called home, which dining establishments I have tried, and which activities or Enchanting Extras I have experienced. I also pop my PhotoPass reminders and resort hotel receipts in this folder for easy access. If you are looking for past photos or a summary of resort hotel room charges, you can reach out to Guest Services and a Cast Member would be delighted to help you retrieve those.

If you are wanting to remember particular attractions or Lightning Lanes you have used, you can always screen shot your plans day-by-day and have photographic proof of everything you have accomplished. I'm also a big fan of posing with my family near the signage for a particular attraction, especially if one of my kids is finally tall enough to ride! These special milestone photos are cherished memories for us. I also pop some of the big ticket itinerary plans into the calendar app of my phone, and this helps keep my vacation organized before I'm on it. I know which parks I'm going to on which days, and it's nice to see that big picture overview intermingled with my daily "real life" plans. It certainly helps build the excitement when I see the days creeping closer and closer!

I know this wasn't the answer you were looking for, Linda, but I hope you feel well equipped to save your plans for review in the future. Or you could always take the approach of Edna Mode and say, "I never look back, darling. It distracts from the now." Please come back and see us here at planDisney if there are additional questions we can help you with. I am wishing you the best until then!

    Stay magical,
    Scott
