With the recent changes to the mask regulations. I received an email about kids 2+ need them while indoors. What happens if my 2 year old who has never had to wear one won’t wear it?

    Hi Briann! Welcome to planDisney!

What a fun trip you have coming up with your little one at the Walt Disney World Resort! There is something extra special about the first visit with a toddler. The way their eyes light up when they see familiar Characters or experience an attraction for the first time is the best! It almost makes me what to have another one to go through that stage again ... *almost.* Ha!

You are correct that all Guests ages 2 years old and up are required to wear masks on all Walt Disney World Resort transportation and at all indoor locations. This is only a slight change from before when only unvaccinated Guests were required at all indoor locations. This means that either way, your little one would have been required to have their mask in place when indoors.

During your visit, your toddler will be expected to have a mask on indoors and Cast Members will be reminding Guests throughout the attractions, shows, merchandise locations, etc. I would begin practicing now to make sure your kiddo knows to keep the mask on. Hopefully, it is an easy change for you all!

I hope you have a great visit, Briann! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
