Hey there, hi there, Gail! Welcome to planDisney. You've brought us a great question about gift cards!
I am so excited to see that it's almost time to head to Disneyland Resort for you! Every time we have a trip coming up, I try to start getting Disney Gift Cards over time to use. Unfortunately, there is no option to add Disney Gift Cards to the Disneyland app. If you purchased a physical Disney Gift Card, you won't be able to add it to your Apple Wallet either. If you have a digital Disney eGift Card, it can be added to your Apple Wallet.
Here is what I would do: first, I would purchase a Disney eGift card for the smallest amount. Then I would add this gift card and your other gift cards to your MyDisney account on
DisneyGiftCard.com. There, you can combine cards onto one, and I would start transferring the balance of your physical cards to the eGift card. There is a limit on how many gift cards you can save to your profile, so you may need to add a few and then delete them after you transfer to the eGift card. You can transfer balances and have up to $1,000 on one gift card.
Finally, I recommend that even if you have that eGift Card added to your Apple Wallet, you copy the card number into your notes app. Since you cannot store gift cards in the
Disneyland app to use for mobile purchases, like
mobile food and beverage ordering. So I like to have the card number saved to easily copy and paste at checkout in the app.
Gail, I hope I was able to help you come up with a game plan to use your Disney Gift Cards as easily as possible. We are here if you have any other questions for us!
