Hi Cheryl, and welcome to planDisney!
With a busy Disney day of saving the galaxy at
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind or entering the Grid at
TRON Lightcycle / Run, it's best to have a
MagicBand+ charged and ready to go. But when exactly is the MagicBand+ battery fully charged? Let's get into it, so you're prepared for your magical theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort.
I love that the MagicBand+ can interact with your surroundings and has gesture recognition capabilities. It can open up your hotel room door, can link purchases to your hotel folio, and can react to nighttime spectaculars. But of course, it needs to be charged via a charging cable every 1-2 days during your vacation in order to do these fun and convenient actions.
When the MagicBand+ is fully charged or has a high battery charge, it will light up green. Press the button on the back of the band and
if it flashes green, this indicates that it has a "high battery."
AN EXTRA GEM: Another way to check the charge of your MagicBand+ is to pair the device to your
My Disney Experience App. You can do this by clicking on the three horizontal lines at the bottom right corner of the app, and selecting MagicBands and More on the menu. Pair your MagicBand+ and you'll see a message under the photo of your band indicating "Full" if it's at a high charge.
Cheryl, if you have any other questions about planning your upcoming vacation, please let us know how
we can help here at planDisney.
Magic always,
LeAndra
