Hey Howdy Hey Penny and welcome to planDisney!
I am so excited for you that you are just a few short days away from your vacation to the Most Magical Place on Earth! I bet you all are getting super excited for your upcoming trip but it does sound like we have a little situation we need to get cleared up with your
MagicBands first! Let's go over a couple of options you have to make sure the MagicBands you have will be connected and working for your trip.
The first thing to do is to make sure your MagicBands at home match the bands on your
My Disney Experience account. Once you log onto your My Disney Experience account, hover over the My Disney Experience logo until a menu pops up. Look for the heading "My MagicBands and Cards" and click on it. If you scroll towards the bottom, you should see a list of all members in your party with an icon of their MagicBand as well as a listing of the MagicBands connected to their account. Verify that the number on the back of the MagicBand matches the one online and you are one step closer.
I would make sure to keep an eye on this page above to see if anything changes over the next few days. You can also
call Disney at (407) 939-4357 and speak to a Cast Member about your situation. Chances are that if you physically have your MagicBands, Disney will not receive them and just ignore the process of refunding your money for them, but it never hurts to check.
If you do end up having any issues while on your trip, the Cast Members at your resort will usually be able to problem shoot them and get them working again quickly. It might be a good idea when you arrive at your resort to have the Cast Members at the front desk just check to make sure they are all connected and working.
Since you are already logged onto your My Disney Experience account, this might be a good time to double-check some items. Make sure you have your theme park tickets and
Theme Park Reservations properly booked as well as your dining reservations. I'm sure you have some time planned to roam around EPCOT, but make sure you have your list of items you want to try from the many of the offerings available at the
EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival. This festival has so many great food and drink offerings throughout the park that it helps to prioritize things you might want to try before going. Our friends over at Disney Parks Blog were able to put together a
Foodie Guide to help navigate all the offerings!
I hope this information helped get your MagicBand situation resolved. I wish for a trip full of Magical Memories for you and your group on your upcoming trip. If you have any further questions please let us know, we would be happy to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Nick
