We received tickets to Disneyland Resort. He bought a child ticket for my son who is now 10 years old. I need to upgrade. Is it possible to upgrade a child ticket to adult ticket?

Hi there, Rosanne. Welcome to planDisney. Thanks for taking the time to stop by with your question for us.

I’m delighted to see that your trip to the Happiest Place on Earth is only a few sleeps away. I bet you’re excited and happily counting down the days before you get to stroll down Main Street, U.S.A. and gaze upon Sleeping Beauty Castle.

I’m assuming you’ve already made theme park reservations for your visit; I suggest keeping the current tickets as they currently are. When you arrive at the Disneyland Resort Main Entrance, you should first head to one of the ticket booths to upgrade the child ticket to an adult ticket by paying the difference. A friendly Cast Member will gladly assist you, without losing the park reservation you’ve already made. Pretty soon, you’ll experience all the pixie-dusted fun!

I wish you a magical time at the Disneyland Resort. If you have more trip-planning questions, please feel free to write us again. We’re all EARS!

    See ya real soon,

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings from Northern California! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
