I have received my tickets from an authorized ticket agent and have registered these for my upcoming WDW trip. I now will be in WDW for 8 days instead of the original 6. How do I add to my 6 day base tickets to eight days? Can this be done in advance?

    Hi Mark,

Hooray for another Disney day - or actually two extra days!  In order to upgrade your tickets you must do so in person at one of the following locations:
    • Ticket windows at the theme parks and water parks
    • Concierge desk at Disney Resort hotel
    • Guest Relations at Disney Springs (formerly known as Downtown Disney)

In order to add days or otherwise upgrade your tickets they must have at least 1 remaining admission left on them (not be used up) and you must upgrade within 14 days of the first usage of your tickets.

If your existing tickets were bought at a discount you may be able to retain this discount when upgrading them.  In my recent experience when I upgraded my own Magic Your Way tickets I was able to retain my discount because I had already used my tickets at least once.  I was only charged the difference between the current posted gate price of my existing tickets and the price of the tickets to which I was upgrading.  Although policies change from time to time, it may be to your advantage to use your tickets at least once before upgrading if you have purchased them at a discount.

Have a Magical vacation Mark and please let us know if we can answer any more Disney vacation planning questions.

    Blessings,
