Hi Catherine!
I visited the Epcot International Festival of the Arts for the opening weekend and it was fantastic! The Festival runs on weekends, Friday through Monday until February 20th.
There is so much to see, do and eat at the Festival, you're sure to need an entire day. Pick up a Festival Passport and a Times Guide for the events that are happening the during your visit.
The Food Studios, similar to Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, have some incredible culinary art offerings. My kids loved the White Chocolate Puzzle they painted with frosting.
The Festival offers complimentary seminars, which are listed in the Times Guide. Tickets for these seminars are handed out one hour prior at the Odyssey Festival Showplace. There are also Interactive Workshops that you can attend for a fee and can be reserved in advance by calling (407) WDW-TOUR.
PhotoPass opportunities are abundant where you can be a part of the art! Be sure to stop at the immersive photo stops all around World Showcase.
My kids especially loved Figment's Brush with the Masters Scavenger Hunt. Pick up a sticker map, for a fee, and hunt for art in the participating countries and turn your completed map in for a prize!
The Disney on Broadway Concert Series is a must-do! The 30 minute show is performed 3 times per evening by two Broadway stars. We booked the Disney on Broadway Concert Series Dining Package and received priority seating for the 8:00PM show and sat 2nd row center. If you don't have priority seating, I recommend getting in line at least 45 minutes early if you'd like to get a close seat. To book the package, call (407)WDW-DINE.
Have an artful day!
Leslie
