I received a 10% off hotels. If I book this and a better deals comes along can I change the reservations? I'm not sure about the dining plan as I haven't used it before. Your thoughts please.

    Hi Shelley!

You can make a change to a reservation as long as you are outside the cancellation penalty window.  The penalty window for vacation packages (room and tickets) is 45 days.  However, it sounds like you will be going with a room only reservation and that has a much smaller cancellation window!

With regards to discounts, you can only use one discount at a time.  So if another discount comes along, you will have to decide which one makes more sense for your party.  With regards to Free Dining, I'm not a fan of Free Dining.  It does work out well for a lot of guests, but other guests actually pay more to be on Free Dining because they give a hotel room only discount for the privilege of getting Free Dining.  That's especially true for the more expensive resorts, such as the Disney Deluxe Resorts.

To figure out if a Dining Plan makes sense for your party, you really have to do the math.  You can visit a site like AllEars.Net and see the menu, including prices, for all of the restaurants in Walt Disney World.  Then you can compare the cost of paying for food out of pocket vs. a Disney Dining Plan and decide the best choice!

Enjoy planning your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation and write back if you have any more questions!
