We have received multiple gift cards for our upcoming trip. How do we combine gift cards so that we don’t have to carry so many?

Tara, thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your question. I am happy to help!

I love using Disney Gift Cards for my visits to Walt Disney World Resort. With the Disney Dining Plans currently on pause, they are a great way to still budget and pre-pay for your meals and snacks. I also give each of my boys a Disney Gift Card with the same starting balances to purchase souvenirs. With their own purchasing power and knowing exactly how much they have to spend, they make better decisions on exactly which gadgets and gizmos they want to bring home. They not only refrain from asking to buy every little thing they see; they also have learned essential lessons on budgeting throughout the years!

To combine balances, visit DisneyGiftCard.com, navigate to Manage Cards at the top of the page, and select "Transfer Balance". You will need to create an account if you don't already have one. You can consolidate up to $1,000 on each Gift Card. This also comes in handy if someone loses or misplaces their gift card. You can log in right away and transfer balances to another card you still have in your possession. Crisis averted! Please note changes are coming later next month to DisneyGiftCard.com. You can still use this site in the meantime to combine cards and check balances but be sure to hold on to the physical gift cards as all stored data will be deleted as the website is enhanced.

    Have a magical day, Tara!

Meet the Panelist: Rachel, Wisconsin

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
