Hi Chris,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am delighted that you brought this picture-perfect question to us!
If you sign into your My Disney Experience Account when you purchase Memory Maker, it should automatically link to your account. If not, you will need to
manually link your Memory Maker using the ID number. Just go into
My Disney Experience, then click on "My Reservations and Tickets." If you scroll to the bottom of the page, you should see a link that says "Link Memory Maker."
Yes, occasionally, there are random other photos in our account. There is no way to completely prevent that from happening. Though PhotoPass technology is quite amazing, no system is perfect. When you scan your MagicBand to enter a ride line queue, the system automatically captures you on the ride and links those photos or videos to your Memory Maker Account. To be sure, you can double-check the PhotoPass screens as you exit the ride. They will display all photos taken on a particular ride for a given time segment. Once you see your family's photos, scan your magic band at the station underneath your photo.
My family loves Memory Maker. Some photos are just priceless - like the first time the girls rode the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror with me. I was the only one sitting upright in the photo. They were both hunched over. Now that they are older, they throw their hands up in the air and look fearless.
When you take photos with a PhotoPass photographer, be sure that the photographer scans your MagicBand. Finally, Chris, if you do not see a photo linked, you can visit or call PhotoPass services. If you give them the general time that you took the photo and location, they can help you find the image. I have always been able to find missing photos!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
