    We received our magic bands My daughter wants a pretty ariel one If I buy her one before arriving am I able to link in to my package myself on the my Disney experience app? or would a cast member only be able to do it

    Welcome back and thank you again for another great question!  I too was thrilled when I read the Disney Park Blog's post about the new Open Edition Retail MagicBands! They are all amazing and I think I am going to have a pretty hard time choosing which one on our next vacation. 

    These MagicBands are only available from select merchandise locations at the Walt Disney World Resort, but if you are able to get one previous to your arrival, you would be able to link it to your vacation package through your My Disney Experience account.  If you visit the MagicBand and Admission Cards page of the Walt Disney World Resort website, you will find step-by-step instructions to assist you in linking your purchased MagicBand.
