I've received a fabulous tip on here about viewing the fireworks at the Polynesian - can you tell me where the beach viewing is? (Sorry that sounds so obvious) but I'm reading about behind the Great Celebration House? Is that near the boat dock? Thanks!

    Hi Mary!

I'm glad to hear that you've found yourself some great tips here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Viewing 'Wishes' from the beach at Disney's Polynesian Resort tops my list of absolute, favourite "ah-ha" moments and spectacular things to experience at Walt Disney World. I don't see mention of your arrival date - but I wanted to be sure to mention to you that during peak seasons and on 'holidays' such as July 4th and Christmas Holidays, the Polynesian's beach is sometimes limited to its own resort guests only. As long as you're not visiting during a 'peak' time, you'll be more than welcome to take a visit to the beach area in the evening to view Wishes.

Now, for the best spots on the beach!
First off, to access the beach, you simply head directly out back through the Great Ceremonial House (main lobby where the monorail stops), and past the Nanea Volcano Pool area. This 'main' beach area is a popular spot to view from. Be sure to arrive early to secure a lounge chair or if you're really lucky, a hammock. Personally, I prefer to view from a little further east along the beach, where it's usually less busy. When you reach the beach, turn to the right and continue to follow along. Sunset Point is another, lovely spot to view from, about mid-way along the beach in front of Tokelau Longhouse. My favourite though, is the beach in front of the Tahiti Longhouse, closest to the Magic Kingdom Ferry Boat docks. There's a hammock down that way that's in the perfect location for a dreamy view of Cinderella Castle shimmering in the night as Wishes lights up the sky above her. Ahhhhhhhhh =)

I hope this information is helpful to you Mary!
Feel free to write me back if you have additional questions. I'd love to hear from you again!

Wishing you a simply Magical time on your Walt Disney World vacation!
