I received an egift card. I am going to DL/DCA next month and want to use that as my primary source of $$ as it has a good amount on it. I have reservations at some table service restaurants. Can I and/or how do I use it if the card # is only on my phone?

Hi Sara! Thanks for dropping by planDisney.

I recently took a trip where we also used an electronic Disney Gift Card rather than a physical one as our payment at many locations in the parks, including at our favorite Table Service spots like Carthay Circle Restaurant on Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure Park. Don't worry! It won't be a problem. It's a super convenient method of payment option at most locations in the parks.

Just let the friendly Cast Member know you'll be paying with an eGift card and they'll handle the transaction. They can use your mobile device to enter the payment method or if you print out a copy of the Disney Gift Card before your trip, they should be able to use that printout. If you have an empty physical Disney Gift Card left over, you also have the option to transfer the funds on the Disney Gift Card website to that physical card if you prefer.

Since you might be using your Disney Gift Card for merchandise and Quick Service meals, my tip is to save the number in your notes app on your mobile device. You can copy and paste the number into the Disneyland mobile app when completing transactions, including purchasing Disney's  Genie+ Service and using Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering or Merchandise Mobile Order. You can't save the Disney Gift Card as payment in the app, so that's a quick workaround.

    Have a magical time!
