I have received our DisneyWorld resort ticket media. I have made a reservation for the same day (though no actual confirmation of this). Transportation from Waldorf. Do I need a wristband? Park passes? Confused about these different names.

Hello and welcome to planDisney, SandyJo!

Thank you for stopping by with your first question! I am happy to see that in a few weeks you will be making memories at the Walt Disney World Resort!

I can see that some of the most important steps in planning are done! You have already purchased theme park tickets and made Disney Park Pass reservations. No confirmation message or e-mail is sent after making a theme park reservation, but you can view existing reservations by signing in to your Disney account and visiting My Plans (scroll down and you will find your theme park reservations). You can also use the My Disney Experience app to view theme park reservations. Open the app on your mobile device, tap the three horizontal lines at the bottom of the screen and select My Plans.

Although they are cute and make great souvenirs, you do not need to use MagicBands while visiting the theme parks. Have you already heard about Disney MagicMobile? This great service is currently available for iPhone and Apple Watch users (coming soon to other smart devices) and allows Guests to enter the theme parks and water parks by holding their iPhone or Apple Watch near an access point, just as they would do with a MagicBand or ticket card. After linking valid admission to your Disney account, use the My Disney Experience app to create a MagicMobile pass, add it to your Apple Wallet, and you will be ready to go! You are also welcome to stop by will-call windows at the entrance of all four theme parks or the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs if you prefer to use a physical ticket card.

In short: You already have theme park tickets and Disney Park Pass reservations, and if you use iPhone or Apple Watch, you can use the My Disney Experience app to create a MagicMobile pass that will be added to your Apple Wallet. The MagicMobile pass can be used as your ticket to enter the theme parks. As for transportation options, Guests staying at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando can enjoy complimentary motorcoach transportation between Walt Disney World theme parks, Disney Springs, and the hotel. Be sure to check the transportation schedule, terms, and conditions directly with the hotel.

I hope this information is helpful, SandyJo! Come back to visit us once again if you have additional questions, we are delighted to help.

    Best magical wishes,
    Thiana
