Hi there, Kasey! Thanks for coming to see us here at planDisney! I'm so glad you came to us with your question. I know a lot of Guests are navigating the theme park reservation system for the first time and have questions just like yours. Let's see what we can clear up for you!
I'm happy to hear that you have
a theme park ticket and a theme park reservation in place as all Guests are currently required to have both to enter the parks. While both are linked to your My Disneyland account, I think it's easiest to think of the ticket and the reservation as two separate pieces of magic. When you get to the Main Entrance Gate, you will need to show the barcode for your theme park ticket as well as the QR code for your theme park reservation. When I purchased a ticket in December, I received two separate emails - one for my ticket with a link to the barcode and another for my reservation which included the QR code.
It sounds like for some reason you only received your theme park reservation confirmation, but don't worry! There are a few reasons why this may be the case, and you would not have been able to make a reservation without a valid ticket linked to your account. If your tickets are part of a
Disneyland Resort Vacation Package, those tickets actually drop into your account four days prior to arrival. You are able to use your package confirmation number to make reservations, but this would explain why you have the reservation QR code but do not yet have access to the ticket barcode. If you have just purchased regular single-day or multi-day tickets not linked to a package, the easiest place to look for your barcode is on the
Disneyland Mobile App. Just click the three-bar menu in the bottom right-hand corner and select "Tickets and Passes". You should see any tickets linked to your account here, along with the corresponding barcode. If for some reason, you are still unable to see your tickets, the wonderful Cast Members in
Guest Services would be happy to help you via the online chat feature or over the phone!
Hopefully, this has helped solve the mystery of the missing barcodes! As you are planning for your visit, another date to keep in mind is that
dining reservations will open up to you 60 days ahead of your arrival. I don't know about you, but I can definitely get caught up in all that Disneyland energy and get swept through my day without so much as a churro if I'm not paying attention! One thing I love to do is have a lunch reservation right in the middle of my day. It helps to take a break from the sun, revive in some air conditioning, but most of all ... slow down. Somehow taking this time makes the day seem longer and lets you soak in the sights and sounds of the park. Some of my favorite restaurants are
Blue Bayou Restaurant,
Carnation Cafe and
Storytellers Cafe!
Kasey, I hope this helped in planning your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! If you have any other questions, feel free to
reach out to me or my fellow panelists. We are always here for you at
planDisney!
Magic awaits!
