We have received Disney gift cards for our upcoming trip. However, we may not be staying at a Disney Resort. Can we use magic bands I already have and have the gift cards loaded onto the magic bands?

    Hi Jacqueline!

Thanks for your question. I'm a big fan of not having to pull out my credit card when at Disney World, so kudos to you for looking to do the same! :-)

It just makes it so much easier and provides peace of mind that you're not passing around credentials that tie directly to your banking accounts, so using the Disney Gift Card or MagicBand is the way to go!

Unfortunately, you can only use the MagicBand if you're staying at a Disney Resort Hotel or happen to be an Annual Passholder. In this case, you'd be better off keeping the gift card separate, which may not carry the advantage of wearing as a band or bracelet, but still provides some protections from identity theft or compromising your banking information.

Have a magical time at Disney World and a wonderful day!
