We received Disney eGifts via email when our DVA was closed last year. Is there any way to get these converted to traditional plastic Gift Cards? Those would be much easier to manage during our upcoming 10 day trip to WDW in August.

    Hi Susan!

I hope you're getting so excited about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort Vacation! Did you see that Disney's Hollywood Studios has a Morning Extra Magic Hour EVERY morning for most of August? I hope you take advantage of one of these bonus mornings so you can shrink down to the size of a toy and experience the brand new Toy Story Land! Pro Tip: Like and follow the Disney Parks Blog across all forms of social media to get the deets of everything new and now across this land as well as the rest of the 'World.

Yes, you absolutely can exchange your Disney eGift Card for a traditional plastic version. I'm that person who always has multiple Disney Gift Cards when I visit, and I too like to make my stack more manageable. Basically what you'll be doing is buying plastic gift card(s) in the same amount as your electronic version, then using what you have now to pay for the new one(s). Since the two amounts are the same, there will be no additional balance owed. I was successful in transferring my balance this way at the Concierge desk of my Disney Resort Hotel in May, but have also been able to do this at a Guest Relations location at Disney Springs.

Another option would be to use your eGift Card as-is to pay off the balance of your MagicBand charges during your visit. Stop by the Front Desk of your Disney Resort Hotel every few days where you'll be able to pay down (or off) the balance of additional dining and merchandise charges before they officially hit your credit card.

I hope this helped, Susan, and We'll See You Real Soon!
