Hi there, Lorraine!
I love it when a fellow Floridian stops by at planDisney. We truly are living our best lives by being so close to The Most Magical Place on Earth. The coolest part? There are so many ways to have a magical day at Walt Disney World—even beyond the theme parks.
“DWWS” stands for ”Disney Wide World of Sports” or more formally, the
ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. This means that your ticket allows you entry to many of its sporting events and other offerings. For some events, you’ll need a separate ticket, so keep that in mind. There are many sporting events that take place there year round, but feel free to visit its website to see what else is going on when you’re in that neck of the woods. I usually visit the ESPN Wide World of Sports when I pick up my race bib for
runDisney events. It’s fun to look around the various venues or grab a bite to eat at the
ESPN Wide World of Sports Grill.
I’m a huge fan of the mini golf courses at Walt Disney World.
Disney’s Fantasia Gardens and
Disney’s Winter Summerland are wonderfully themed and have various levels of difficulties. My little ones love the Disney touches and my husband and I like competing on the green. You’ll want to look at your ticket’s details to see exactly what it includes. If it includes miniature golfing, I highly recommend visiting one of these spots.
Lorraine,
please revisit us here at planDisney if you have more Disney vacation planning questions. I am more than happy to share tips and tricks with you.
Magic always,
LeAndra
