We received a “comp” ticket for working the cheerleading event in March but the expiration date was 1/11/23. They said it was still good and not to worry about it. How do I check that and how do I book a reservation to accompany it? We are coming in May.

    Hey howdy hey, Robin!

Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with your question about Walt Disney World Resort theme park tickets. I'm excited to hear that you'll be visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth in just a couple of weeks - the countdown is on! Robin, I'd be happy to help you understand how to use your theme park ticket during your upcoming vacation. You've got a friend in me!

It's great to hear that you received a complimentary Walt Disney World Resort theme park ticket for your recent volunteerism, Robin. If you haven't already, I recommend linking your theme park admission to your Disney account in My Disney Experience. This will enable you to make a theme park reservation! To link your ticket, navigate to the "My Plans" tab, hover over the "Park Tickets" icon, then click "Link Tickets." Here, enter the ID number on your theme park ticket and follow the steps to link and assign the ticket to yourself. To make your theme park reservation, hover over the "My Disney Experience" tab and select "Theme Park Reservations." Click "Make or Modify Theme Park Reservations." Next, select "Book Park Reservation" and select the ticket you'd like to make a reservation for. Follow the prompts to select a date and theme park and confirm your theme park reservation!

Robin, if you're unsure about the expiration date of your ticket, I recommend reaching out to the friendly Cast Members at the Existing Tickets phone line for assistance, as they'll be able to confirm the expiration date of your theme park admission. In general, a 1-day theme park ticket expires on the selected start date assigned at the time of purchase. Usually, the value originally paid for a wholly unused, expired Walt Disney World Resort theme park ticket may be applied to the purchase of a new, unexpired ticket, but this may not always be the case with complimentary or special event tickets. I encourage you to work with a Cast Member at the Existing Tickets phone line to understand your ticket entitlements or if you have difficulty linking your ticket in My Disney Experience.

I hope that you find this information helpful, Robin. I'm wishing you safe travels and a memorable visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth! If you have any additional planning questions, please stop back by planDisney again. We're here to help - to infinity and beyond!

    So long partner,
