Hiya Calvin,
Welcome to planDisney! I hope you are excited about your upcoming resort stay at Walt Disney World. I used to be someone who rarely stayed on property, but the magic of the
Walt Disney World Resort Collection Hotel won me over. I love being so close to the Theme Parks, the intricate theming details, and the fantastic amenities. Each resort hotel is as unique and incredible as the iconic Disney Princesses.
You can plan most of your itinerary in advance, Calvin, but unfortunately, your resort hotel room number is not one of the details you will get in advance. You will receive the room number for your resort hotel on the first day of your trip after check-in. There is no set time, but once your room is ready, you will receive a notification sharing the room number with you. During my last visit, I did online check-in, and my room was ready early, so I received my room number while I was still at the airport! Other times, I’ve gotten my room number after checking in and headed to the Theme Parks while waiting for my room to be ready. It truly varies.
I hope this was helpful, Calvin, in planning your upcoming visit. Before I let you go, did you know that with
Direct-to-Room Service, you can receive your room number and unlock your room using your
My Disney Experience mobile app or MagicBand? I have a one-year-old, and waiting in line to check in and get our room number isn’t in her ideal itinerary. With Direct-to-Room, I can skip waiting at the front desk and head straight to my room when it is ready. Ensure that your resort hotel reservation is linked to your Disney Account and use the Online Check-In service before your arrival if you wish to use this tip. You will receive notifications about the status of your room and when your room number is available to view in the mobile app.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
