Hi Jessica, and welcome to planDisney! I'm channeling King Louie right now because I wanna be like you and become an Annual Passholder some day. Let's chat about MagicBands for your upcoming visit and the coveted magnetic swag that all Passholders love.
Once upon a time, Disney would send complimentary MagicBands in the mail to guests after they booked their vacation. Unfortunately, those days are in the distant past and that freebie is no longer offered. The silver lining is that guests now have an extensive collection of
MagicBand+ devices to choose from, representing the vast diversity of fandoms across the Disney content library. What was once a selection from just a few solid colors is now a seemingly limitless set of options featuring your favorite characters, attractions, films, theme parks, and more! You can check out the current MagicBand+ offerings over at the
Disney Store, or wait until you arrive in Walt Disney World for an even larger selection at your resort hotel gift shop or
World of Disney at Disney Springs.
Now, about those car magnets. You should receive your magnet in the mail along with your welcome packet within 8 weeks of your annual pass sign up. Shipping times can vary, so patience is key. In addition to this magnet, there are also specialty magnets distributed around Disney World at different times of the year. On the day I wrote this response, there was a Zootopia 2 magnet available to Passholders to pick up at Animal Kingdom. Be sure to keep an eye on the Passholder Buzz section in the My Disney Experience app, or check the
Passholder Perks & Extras website for updates on magnet offers.
There are so many ways to display your love for Disney! You can put your Annual Passholder magnet on your car or fridge, or show off a favorite character or film on your wrist with your MagicBand+. I always get a ton of compliments on my Fantasmic! MagicBand+, so I hope you find a favorite for your visit, too. Meet me back here at planDisney if there are any other questions I can answer for you. I'm wishing you a pixie-dusted vacation.
Stay magical,
Scott
