    Can you receive a Guest Assistance Card for someone with epilepsy and if so, how do you go about obtaining one?

    Hi Christopher!
    Disney is well known for being very accommodating with respect to guests with all types disabilities. One of the ways in which they have made park experiences more pleasurable for special needs guests is by using the Guest Assistance Card. The GAC is geared to enable guests to experience the park within their comfort zone. It will alert Cast Members assisting at attractions to allow your family to wait in a cooler, less crowded area, and will help them gauge what seat during certain experiences will enable your children to enjoy the attractions. 
    When arriving at your park of choice, head to Guest Relations.  Make sure that you bring the guest in question with you, and explain to the Cast Member exactly why you are requesting a GAC, and what accommodations you are requesting (cooler place to wait, alternate entrance…etc). This way they can assure that you are being given the correct GAC. Should you have any difficulties with the GAC, don't hesitate to ask for a supervisor. Disney's goal is to provide guests with wonderful and memorable experiences, and they are willing to do just that. It always helps to bring a note from the doctor explaining what the diagnosis is, as some disabilities are not always obvious to the outside eye. Remember, your GAC is valid for the entire duration of your stay.
