Hey there, Nirmala!
Thanks for visiting planDisney with your question. I'm excited for you that you're planning a trip to
Walt Disney World Resort and that you're able to visit on the dates you prefer!
If you're looking for any recommendations for your plans when you visit The Most Magical Place on Earth, just ask away here at planDisney. We always welcome the chance to share tips and ideas from our own vacations as a way to help you plan.
My best suggestion for your theme park ticket cancellation question is to
contact the Walt Disney World Ticketing team by phone at (407)-566-4985 to get their guidance. If you share with them the details of your ticket purchases, they can offer some specific information.
One question for you that might be helpful when you reach out to the ticketing team is this: when you look in the
"My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" section of your
My Disney Experience account, do you see two sets of theme park tickets? Do you see both the first set of tickets you purchased and the new tickets you purchased? Or do you only see one set of theme park tickets? One general note I can share is that theme park tickets are
nonrefundable. I think the first step is for you to take a look to see if you have an extra set of tickets that you purchased.
Another question for you that might also be helpful when you reach out to the ticketing team is: did you cancel a theme park reservation and make a new theme park reservation? The theme park reservations made through the
Disney Park Pass system have no direct costs associated with them. You can make, modify, and cancel theme park reservations, but there isn't the idea of a credit related to the reservations.
Nirmala, I'm hopeful that when you get in touch with the Walt Disney World Ticketing team, they can assist you with your specific situation. The friendly Cast Members are always happy to help.
Here's wishing you a wonderful Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
Jerry
