Welcome to planDisney, Anitra.
I'm so glad that you stopped by with your question. Adventure is out there! In the words of Alice, “Every adventure requires a first step.” A good first step is to learn about all there is to see and do at Walt Disney World.
The first time I booked a visit to Walt Disney World Resort, I requested"a parcel in the post" that included a brochure and a DVD. It was so exciting flipping through those pages and watching that DVD in anticipation of my vacation. However, times have changed! Disney has upped their commitment to reducing waste and caring for the environment. As a result, they do not currently mail out brochures or maps to Guests. Therefore, information for Walt Disney World will need to be accessed digitally.
I realize that's not the news you wanted to hear, Anitra. An alternative option is to access the Theme Park maps online and then print them out. Here are those maps:
You can always print whatever else you find online too. I realize that might be inconvenient. However, let me offer some places where you can find helpful information for your trip. A great place to start is the
Vacation Planning page on The Walt Disney World website. The website also has ample information on the fantastic
Disney Resorts Collection hotels, the delectable
dining options, the enchanting
Theme Parks and destinations, and the
50th Anniversary Celebration. The planDisney website has really handy
Pocket Guides to the Disney Resorts and general
tips and suggestions for your visit.
I'm not sure if your eye restriction makes watching TV shows challenging. However, if you'd like to learn more about the Theme Parks, then there are a number of brilliant shows on Disney+, like "
Behind the Attraction," "
The Magic of Disney's Animal Kingdom," and my personal favorite, "
The Imagineering Story." These shows will give you a greater appreciation for the magic of Walt Disney World. I'm sure they'll increase the magic of your upcoming visit.
I hope that's helpful, Anitra. Thanks so much for visiting us at planDisney. I'm sure your upcoming trip will be "practically perfect in every way."
ChEARS,
Mike
